E46 w/ls1 v8 engine swap. I've been looking into performing an engine swap in an E46 M3, the engine I would like to use is a LS1. I don't forsee fitment or mechanics to be an issue, however, other knowledgeable people I have asked all point out that eclectronics will be an issue as they have essentially cockblocked other v8 swaps in E46's in.

You can mount it in the engine bay all crooked-like, sit in the driver's seat, and make V8 noises with your mouth. For a proper BMW V8 swap, you'll be looking at a VERY significant amount of money to make it work. Here's a VERY recent thread on E46Fanatics.

The engine is already in place, and I am currently busy with the cooling setup. After the cooling is done, it's only a little wiring and making the exhaust (and some additional stuff proberly).
